Wanesha V. Spencer can be described as a Poet, Entrepreneur and Community Liaison. A native of St. Petersburg, FL Wanesha earned her B.A. Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Social Work and Sociology from the University of South Florida. After graduating in 2009 she relocated to Atlanta, GA and began to work vigorously in the community. With over 15 years experience in Social Services Wanesha has helped non-profit organizations, tech companies, and small businesses tap into their prospective audiences by way of community outreach, workforce development initiatives, recruitment and more.
Wanesha is the Owner and Chief Creative Officer of “The Ella Project” which empowers others through captivating messages of hope and empowerment. From Custom Tributes to Creative Writing Workshops T.E.P. (The Ella Project) serves as a small project hub offering specialized creative services. Inspired by her late grandmother Mrs. Ella M. Spencer; Wanesha credits her love for writing and passion to connect with others as the foundational blueprint connected to her upbringing. Mrs. Ella M. Spencer left an incredible legacy and The Ella Project is dedicated to honoring her through business and community impact.
Professional Highlights as a Poet and Orator include; The Liberia Association of Metropolitan Atlanta, The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Non-Violence, Facebook-Meta, Sodexo, Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University, Georgia Gwinnett College, Lehman College, Interactive College of Technology, Patchwork Studios, The Stewart Foundation, NAACP of Cobb and Dekalb County, Eagle Academy for Young Men of New York, YWCA, WATC-TV, Guianan Association and Fairburn City Government. Notable Awards Include; The Community Impact Award, Kaepernick Award and Georgia Inspirational Poet of the Year Award.
In 2016 Wanesha released a poetry album titled "Down My Sidewalk". This is a collection of poems pulled directly from the pages of her life. Each piece represents her personal journey of Pain, Growth and Forgiveness.
Wanesha’s drive and devotion to encourage and motivate others is a reflection of her continued faith in God as her painter in life's beautiful canvas.
